Marlene Mhangami is a software engineer and technology leader based in London. She is a Senior Developer Advocate at Microsoft, specializing in Python and AI. Previously, she served as a director and vice-chair of the Python Software Foundation and currently holds the role of vice-chair on the Association for Computing Machinery’s Practitioner Board.
Marlene has extensive experience in accelerated data systems, having worked at Nvidia and Voltron Data. In 2017, she co-founded ZimboPy, a nonprofit dedicated to providing Zimbabwean young women with access to technology education. She also chaired PyCon Africa and continues to be a passionate advocate for Africans in tech worldwide.
Drs. Eugene Holiday is a Sint Maarten economist, author and founder and president of the Holiday Institute for Governance and Economics, with a distinguished career spanning central banking, aviation, energy, banking, insurance, and constitutional reform. He served as a Sint Maarten’s first Governor (2010-222) and previously held leadership roles, including President Director of Princess Juliana International Airport and Deputy Director at the Central Bank of the Netherlands Antilles, while also serving on various supervisory boards.
An advocate for nation building, education and economic development, he has led critical advisory committees and is the author of nation building or challenges resilience and responsibility. He is the recipient of several awards and honors in recognition of his contributions to Sint Maarten, including the Royal Decoration of Commander in the Order of Oranje Nassau.
Sir Imran McSood is a visionary entrepreneur, philanthropist, and advocate for community development. From humble beginnings, he built a business empire spanning NAGICO Insurances, Motorworld, Caribbean Auto, Audi, and Dollar Thrifty Car Rental, becoming a respected leader in St. Maarten and beyond.
Beyond business, Sir Imran is deeply committed to giving back, supporting education, sports, and culture through charitable contributions. A passionate cricket enthusiast, he serves as Chairman of Cricket St. Maarten and an independent member of Cricket West Indies, playing a key role in the sport’s development.
In recognition of his contributions, he was honored as a Royal Decorated Member of Orange Nassau by the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Through it all, his greatest success remains his family, whose unwavering support has been the foundation of his journey.
Computech was founded in 2000 by Jean Arnell and Alain Roper with the vision of building better communities by driving Digital Transformation in the public sector.
Jean Thierry Arnell was born and raised in Saint-Martin, where he learned the values of education and hard work from his parents. After earning a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Paris Dauphine, he co-founded Computech.
As Managing Partner, Jean leads Computech’s Infrastructure and Outsourcing businesses, focusing on Big Data, IoT, and AI to drive business outcomes. He spearheaded the creation of the Computech Technology Center, an innovation hub for strategy, design, and datacenter services.
A recognized tech leader, Jean has over 18 years of experience in business management and enterprise software, particularly in the public sector. He was the national winner of the Concours Talents entrepreneurship award (2003) and served as President of the French Saint-Martin Chamber of Commerce (2014–2018).
Jean is a frequent speaker at tech events in the Caribbean, he currently lives in Saint-Martin with his wife, Sharmel, and their three sons.
